Spring Clean Up Day

The adage, “many hands make light work” was proven true once again. Thank you to everyone who came to help with the Spring Clean Up Day on Sat, April 25th. The work schedule was adjusted due to the rain and the 1 pm funeral. We had a diligent group of members who worked together and got a lot accomplished.

OWH article tells about Beeson’s Big Deer

Elkhorn Hills member Tom Beeson finally gets a big deer. Check out the story in the Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, OWH article. Nobody in Tom Beeson’s family believed he could shoot a big deer. All three of Beeson’s kids — Joe, John and Elly — have shot nice deer, all bigger than Beeson’s first and only kill before now. So this fall, when he killed a 5×5 whitetail on a solo trip, he made sure to take a selfie so he’d have proof.

Eagle Scout Court of Honor

Congratulations to John E. Beeson for earning the rank of Eagle Scout. His Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Saint Stephen the Martyr Church. John and Boy Scout Troop 494 completed his Eagle Scout project on April 5th, 2014 at Camp Fontanelle. They worked to assemble and paint 7 picnic tables and cleared branches and brush from the area under the zip lines.
