After 27 years of teaching at schools in Bennington and Elkhorn, Rhonda Martin is retiring from teaching.
A celebration in her honor was held at Heritage Elementary School, Bennington, Nebraska, on Thursday, May 10th. Numerous faculty and students she worked with over the years attended, as well as family and friends.
Mrs. Martin received hand written notes and cards from students and staff –past and present, and she enjoyed visiting with all who attended. Her impact continues to ripple through her students’ lives and will forever be a part of them.
The Ripple Effect
Drop a pebble in the water: just a splash, and it is gone.
But there’s half-a-hundred ripples, circling on and on and on.
Spreading, spreading from the center, flowing on out to the sea.
And there is no way of telling where the end is going to be.
For the thousands of pebbles you have dropped in the water, the ripples are endless! Thank you, Rhonda Martin, for making a positive difference in this world through your kindness and respectfulness.

She has served on various committees, taught Middle High Sunday school, volunteered at Vacation Bible School in various capacities over the years, and participated in numerous church-sponsored events and activities. Rhonda, you are a blessing, and we are so excited for your next chapter in life! Congratulations!
