Through our affiliation with COPE, we are informing you about two programs that are being offered in Elkhorn to assist families with divorce or separation.
Divorce Care and Divorce Care for Kids (DC4K) are free programs, thanks to a kind donor who is providing the cost of the books. There are brochures available in the narthex.
These 13-week programs will be on Monday nights, starting September 10th through December 3rd, 2018 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at Community of Grace Church, Elkhorn.
There is limited seating for this 13-week season.
Registration can be completed at DivorceCareElkhorn.com. A wait list will be used, if needed.
You can call (531) 210-1752 if you have any questions or would like more information about either program.
About This Program
This program is designed to give children the tools to develop healthier relationships within their own families and to give each child of divorce hope for the future. DC4K is for children ages 5-12. A pediatric nurse (June Root, MSN, RN) will be teaching this class. The Divorce Care program will be at the same time as the DC4K program.
The Christian Outreach Program – Elkhorn (COPE) is a multi-denominational non-profit organization made up of eleven Christian churches in western Douglas County. We help families stay in their homes and keep food on the table by providing financial assistance, caring concern, educational assistance and referrals when needed most. COPE provides HOPE to our neighbors in need, regardless of religious, cultural, or ethnic beliefs, while maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of those who are served.
We help families stay in their homes and keep food on the table by providing food pantries, groceries, clothing and household goods.
We also coordinate education efforts, job assistance and holiday events.
