Youth Ministry

Our Youth Mission Statement

The Elkhorn Hills Youth Ministry exists to EXPOSE teenagers to God’s love
while preparing them to SHARE God’s word, and EXALT in the Lord,
all while OFFERING their services to the Lord and CONNECTING with others.

Youth Council has decided that we will not have Sunday School on the FIRST Sunday of the month going forward so that the kids can worship and receive communion.  This will start this coming Sunday, March 6th and continue throughout the year.   Thank you, Jenny Meyer

Youth Programs:

The Youth Ministry is for 6th – 12th grade youth.   Jenny Meyer, Youth Ministries Coordinator leads these programs along with the help of many volunteers.

ConfirmationConfirmation

Our confirmation program is led by Pastor Daniel Kipp and is geared for 7th and 8th grade youth. Confirmation uses lessons based on the questions: What does it mean to be a Christian? What does it mean to be United Methodist? What does it mean to be a member of Elkhorn Hills UMC? Each confirmand will be assigned to a small group of their peers as well as an older youth to walk with them through this part of their faith journey. The year will also include opportunities to lead worship, write a personal faith story, and serve in the community.

 Mission Trips

Youth Mission Trip

Each year our youth have the opportunity to participate in a mission trip.  There are separate mission trips for Middle High and Senior High youth.  There are various fundraising opportunities throughout the year for students to earn money for the trips.  On these trips, the youth worship together and share in devotion time as a group each evening.  The groups build bonds with one another and grow in their faith together.  They serve members of various communities by being the hands and feet of God.
