You’ll love the music at Elkhorn Hills!  We are a musical church, and we offer numerous ways to worship with music.

There are opportunities for musicians of all ages, providing us a complete music experience at Elkhorn Hills.  Get ready for the thrill of endless possibilities our ministry continues to provide!  Elkhorn Hills is blessed with a wide array of passionate and gifted musicians. With numerous choir and special music opportunities, as well as seasonal instrumental and hand bell ensembles, there is always room for YOU!

Choirs

  • Chancel Choir — Provides a wide variety of special music and leading hymns during the 9:00 traditional service in our Sanctuary.   All are welcome!  Directed by Nathan Becker (nathanbecker@unomaha.edu) with the support of our pianist, Hannah Fisher.  Practice: Wednesday evenings from 7:30-8:30 pm.
  • Worship Band — Leads our 10:30 am modern worship service on Sundays in the gym. This is a music oriented service focused on awakening the soul to the presence of God. The worship band is more than a musical collective, they are a community of Christ followers who get to use their gifts together. We enjoy a full band with singers, piano, guitars, drums, and more. All are welcome!  Contact Christie Kipp (coachchristiekipp@gmail.com)  Practice: Tuesdays 6:30-7:30pm.
  • Youth Praise Band (Middle/High School) — Sings at special youth services along with special music opportunities. Please contact Brett Heckens (baheckens@gmail.com) if you are interested in this opportunity!  Rehearsals on select Sundays at 11:45 am.
  • Children’s Choir — Provides special music the first Sunday of the month during the school year.   All children K-5 are welcome!  Practices Sunday mornings from 10:05-10:25 am.  Please contact Christina Schroeder (childrenministries@elkhornhillsumc.org) for additional information.
  • Heavenly Bells (Handbell Choir) — Offers special music on church holidays and 5th Sundays of the month.  Practices on Monday evenings from 6-7 pm.  Contact Deb Eidam (eidamdeb@yahoo.com) for more information.
  • Children’s Hand Chimes (Children’s handbell Choir) — Presents musical offerings during special music and on some holidays. Practice Sundays 10:00-10:30. To register your children email Christina at childrenministries@elkhornhillsumc.org)
  • Special Performances: Easter Cantatas (involves ALL EHUMC choirs), small groups, solos – instrumental and vocal. Singers/Instrumentalists meet seasonally. Rehearsals TBA.  Please contact us to see how you can get involved!
