Vacation Bible School…

Vacation Bible School is a favorite among the kids at EHUMC. One week during the summer our church comes alive with singing, dancing and laughter as our preschool and elementary aged children have a great time. Children have many adventures learning about the bible and God and Jesus through music, crafts, games, and special presentations. The energy and excitement is felt throughout the church as our children learn more about God and his special plans for us.

We love children at Elkhorn Hills and  fill the church with our amazing children’s programs.

Safe Gatherings…

Safe Gatherings is a comprehensive system that incorporates an online application, online abuse prevention training, several levels of background checks, and paperless reference checks for people who volunteer or are employed with churches, schools, and organizations that serve or work with children, youth, and vulnerable adults. If your certification is at least 3 years old, you should go through the certification process again at this time.

Any questions can be answered by Pastor Daniel.

Volunteers…

Volunteer

We are always looking for volunteers to help with the Children’s Ministry Programs. We have lots of different ways you can help, whether it is teaching in the classroom or helping with one of our special events. We have something for everyone!!

Child Care on Sunday Mornings & Wednesday night…

The Nursery is available on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.  The Nursery is staffed by EHUMC employees.

Sunday School…

We offer Sunday School for all ages.  Children Preschool – 5th grade are part of the children’s Sunday School.  Sunday School is held at 10:30 during the Modern Worship service in our educations wing.  Our teachers concentrate on teaching Bible lessons that teach about God’s love for us and HIS creation.  Our teachers use games, stories, crafts and science to re-enforce the lessons while making it fun at the same time.  Grades 3-5 begin taking steps towards the ownership of their spiritual journey by learning how to use a Bible and by studying the books of the bible.

Third Grade at Elkhorn Hills…

Our congregation celebrates a couple of milestones with our 3rd graders.  First we celebrate the transition of our children’s spiritual journey with their own “older” Bible.

Second our 3rd graders learn to become acolytes, which allows them to participate in our Sunday worship.

Hand Chimes/Choir…

Hand Bell Choir

Children’s Hand chimes/Choir rehearses every Sunday morning at 10:00 in the open area in the education wing.  Deb Eidam leads the Hand Chimes and Melissa Smith leads the choir.  The kids learn to praise God through music while playing Hand chimes and singing.  They perform once a month during the 9:00 service.
