Adult Ministries

adult ed stained glassElkhorn Hills has a strong adult ministries program.  Several classes are offered on Sunday mornings (Adult Sunday school).  Others are offered on Wednesday evenings (Bible Study).  Then, others are offered throughout the week (Social and Service ministries.)

Plus, Elkhorn Hills UMC offers a library with a wide variety of Christian reading.  Books can be checked out and returned at your convenience.  Adults are encouraged to serve the congregational in various capacities on an ongoing basis:  Chaperones, volunteers, teachers, advisers, committee members, etc.

Adult Bible Studies

Sunday and Wednesday evening Bible Studies are popular adult ministries classes at Elkhorn Hills UMC.  The content of these classes shift throughout the year, but consistently there is a Women’s Group that offers studies and discussion on contemporary topics related to women and Christian faith.  This class meets at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays.  There are also Men’s studies, Parenting studies, Methodist studies (Disciple), Marital studies, etc.

United Methodist Men

The Elkhorn Hills United Methodist Men’s mission is to support spiritual growth among men, helping men to mature as disciples as they encourage spiritual formation in others.

The men of Elkhorn Hills gather for breakfast and fellowship the 2nd Saturday of the month at 8:00 am in the Conference Room. The men take turns in preparing and serving breakfast. There is also a devotional session, and will, occasionally, do some coordinated mission work around the church afterwards.

You will probably find the men manning grills during church events, as well.

The Elkhorn Hills United Methodist Men have several fundraisers throughout the year to help provide resources to help maintain the church and other mission projects.  Their annual Frozen food sales are held in October/November.
