Lyle and Sharon (Oliveri) Dike of Omaha will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on March 5, 2017. They were married on March 5, 1967, at the United Methodist Church in North Platte, Nebraska.
Lyle was born and raised in Sutherland, Nebraska, and Sharon in North Platte, Nebraska. They began their married in life in North Platte, but soon transferred to Omaha with Lyle’s job at Union Pacific Railroad. After a brief stay in Millard, they moved to Elkhorn to put down roots.
Lyle continued with Union Pacific for 41 years, working in Valley, Fremont, Omaha and Council Bluffs, prior to his retirement in 2007.
Sharon worked for Major’s Plastic Factory, Dick’s Hillrise Market and Elkhorn Hills United Methodist Church in Elkhorn. Both Lyle and Sharon also worked for the Elkhorn Public Schools system driving a bus for several years.
Their children and grandchildren are Toni and Neil Wilson, Carlie and Leah of Crescent, Iowa; and Teri and Doug Tillman, Madilyn and Isaac of Omaha.
