A special General Conference will be held on February 23rd-26th in St. Louis, Missouri. Please keep Pastor Rebecca and the other delegates from our Great Plains Conference in your prayers as they travel to and attend this Special General Conference.
There have been months of planning and preparation leading up to this conversation about the full inclusion of our LGBTQ+ brothers, sisters, neighbors, and friends. We have had a Town Hall Meeting with Bishop Saenz in our District, our church committees have been talking about the proposed plans and our UM structure for decision making, and our conversation as a congregation will continue after the General Conference as well.
Please pray for a spirit of openness, a spirit of unity, and a spirit of love for all who will be discerning the United Methodist Church’s future as it relates to our open hearts, open minds, and open doors. Thank you!
