During this Lenten season, Elkhorn Hills UMC will examine questions about foundational Christian truths through Adam Hamilton’s book and related Bible Study, Creed.
Adam Hamilton believes that powerful answers are embedded in the Apostles’ Creed, an early statement of foundational Christian beliefs. He explores not only what Christians believe, but also why they believe it and why it matters.
We’re all searching. Sometimes the search is easy: simply type a question and the answer pops up. But sometimes our questions are complicated, and the answers are difficult to see and harder to articulate. How do we discover and examine the truths that give meaning and purpose to life?
Do you have questions about foundational Christian truths such as the purpose of life? Topics are:
- Jesus Christ
- The Holy Spirit
- The Church and the Communion of Saints
- The Forgiveness of Sins
- The Resurrection of the Body
Creed Bible Study
The GRACE Adult Sunday School will also be following up with the Creed Bible Study lessons each week of Lent during their 10:30 class time. All are welcome to participate.
In Creed, we explore not only what Christians believe, but also why they believe, and why it matters, which in turn leads readers to confront and examine their own core beliefs and go beyond reciting the Creed’s familiar words.
