Sunday School

The Breakfast Club will begin their Advent Study, “Prepare the Way For The Lord and the Message of John the Baptist” Sunday, November27th.

For two thousand years, Christians have turned to the story and message of John the Baptist in the weeks leading up to Christmas. In each of the Gospels, the story of Jesus is intertwined with that of his cousin John, the one whom the prophets foretold would come to “prepare the way of the Lord.” The life, ministry, and message of John the Baptist make us and our world ready to receive Christ. Author and Pastor, Adam Hamilton, explores the Advent themes of John’s life and ministry, and how John calls all followers of Jesus to prepare our hearts and lives for his coming.

We hope you can be with us for this new Advent study. If you’d like to join us and want a
book, please contact Bonnita Sherburne.

All are invited to join the Breakfast Club in the conference room for our  exciting fall study .  On September 18th we will start a six-week book study on The Sermon on the Mount. This unique book/video study of New Testament passages will bring new insights and revelations to your faith journey. In Sermon on the Mount, Dr. Amy-Jill Levine introduces the major topics in the Sermon on the Mount, explains historical and theological contexts, and shows how the words of Jesus echo his Jewish tradition and speak forward to reach hearts and minds today.

This book provides a rich and challenging learning experience for the individual in a six-week study that includes the following topics:

Beatitudes

 The Extensions

Practicing Piety

Our Father

Finding Your Treasure

Living into the Kingdom
