About Comedian: Austin Anderson

Austin Anderson’s comedy career began 15 years ago, taking him on some pretty wild rides. From the east to the west he has traveled to comedy clubs, colleges, corporate events, and comedy competitions; while also making two appearances on Comedy Central, performing stand-up on “Adam DeVine’s House Party” and acting on “Workaholics.” He also performed a minute and a half of stand up in front of 11.5 million people after a dancing lizard on “America’s Got Talent.”  He was then betrayed by the judges, ripped off his shirt, and challenged Piers Morgan to a fight.
He progressed to the quarterfinals before being eliminated.   Anderson’s feature-length film debut came in the comedy “Trunk’d,” which featured a bounty of Nebraska-based actors.   Since then, he has continued to perform and has a frequent spot at Omaha’s Funny Bone Comedy Club, which has featured acts such as Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle and Ellen DeGeneres.
In addition to live shows and acting, Anderson also hosts his own podcast, “Comic in Exile,” which according to its byline, “covers the news and world events from a biblical point of view.” The show features Anderson’s view on the world as both a comedian and a Christian, and the struggles he faces trying to balance the two.
