Elkhorn Hills UMC member Gail Graeve has built a record of volunteer service that includes work with more than a dozen community boards. Thank you, Gail, for your volunteer service throughout our church and our community!
The Cantata service Joy! Unspeakable Joy! was absolutely wonderful! The multi-generational musical with narration allowed for special family participation. Congratulations to Deb Eidam and Tyler Hughes for their leadership of this special service, and congratulations to all the musicians, instrumentalists, choirs, and narrator, Bill Eidam, involved in today’s service. The service was truly joyful–unspeakably so.
Make plans to join us for “A Charlie Brown Christmas” at 4 pm on Christmas Eve. Come worship with us at this family-oriented, kid-friendly service. The skit is sure to be full of laughter, but it will also show the children the true meaning of Christmas. So come at 4:00 and then return at 7 pm or 11 pm for more traditional services with communion.
The Brianna Baumert Scholarship fund helps preschool families who are temporarily unable to afford preschool tuition. The Cookie Walk raises money for the scholarship. Please buy a plate or two of cookies to help support this scholarship fund on Sunday, December 20th after both worship services.
A new Adult Sunday School Class for the New Year–Parenting by the Book: Biblical Wisdom for Raising Your Child by John Rosemond–will be offered during the Sunday school hour beginning January 17th and will finish before Easter (8-10 wks). Priscilla Wilson, a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and Nationally Certified Counselor, will teach the class. Books are approximately $12.
